Indonesia is the largest beef producer in Southeast Asia, with annual
production reaching 496,302 (Agricultural Statistics, 2018). However,
Indonesian beef consumption exceeds domestic production, therefore, the country
needs are still dependent on imports. Accordingly, there are many opportunities
to develop the local beef market in Indonesia.
