In Indonesia, the demand for milk and other dairy products produced has increased domestically. However, dairy farming in Indonesia faces productivity challenges caused by the difficulty of accessing high-quality animal feed, especially during the dry season.
ARISA collaborated with the private sector and research institutes/universities to provide Good Production Practices training and to supervise inputs, facilities, and infrastructure in regard to dairy production. The activities include introduction of new types of feed, management practice of supplying and feeding to improve the milk quantity and quality in East Java dairy farms.
PRISMA will continue to develop the dairy farming sector through the interventions of quality, productivity and market access improvement for dairy farmers to reach other provinces in the program's working areas.
