Due to price competition, scarcity of superior seeds, traditional agricultural practices, limited access of information, capital and markets due to low domestic soybean productivity which is only 0.9 million tons per year, Indonesia is forced to become the largest soybean importer in the world with total imports reaching 1.9 million tons.

PRISMA and its partners strive to procure, promote, and develop centers of superior and certified seed breeders, encourage good agricultural practices and crop protection, as well as provide practice for leading farmers to become Soy Doctors, i.e., pilot farmers who practice agriculture more efficiently and productively.

PRISMA does not continue to work in this sector, based on the results of achievements per semester analysis.
