Towards the end of 2019, the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), H. Zulkiflimansyah awarded PRISMA for its contribution in reducing poverty in the province.
The award was announced during the coordination meeting on poverty eradication in NTB 2019 held by the NTB Provincial Government which took place in Mataram. Arief Mahmudi, the NTB Provincial Manager of PRISMA was present on behalf of PRISMA to accept the award. “This is the fourth consecutive time PRISMA receives the award since 2016. Not only are we honoured, but the award will also strengthen our commitment to support the government and local farmers who will be benefitted through improved market systems,” said Arief.
The award is held annually to acknowledge and improve the partnership between the NTB Provincial Government and development programs. Some criteria are taken into consideration; amongst others are the alignment with the government’s priority programs and locations, level of participation, and influence on women empowerment.
With its focus in agriculture, which is a priority sector for the Government of NTB, PRISMA has been taking an active role in numerous high-level activities by providing strategic inputs as well as assistance to improve the performance of the province’s agriculture sector.
The award symbolises a new milestone for PRISMA’s continuous support to the NTB Provincial Government. Going forward, PRISMA hopes that this relationship can be fostered through greater transfer of knowledge, stronger coordination and progress monitoring of the collaborative works.
